Telefonica: alliance with Microsoft in cybersecurity

(CercleFinance.com) - Telefonica Tech, Telefonica's digital activities subsidiary, announced on Monday that it has signed an alliance with Microsoft to offer cybersecurity services to businesses worldwide.


Under the terms of the agreement, Telefonica Tech plans to integrate Microsoft's advanced security and artificial intelligence functionalities into its own cybersecurity portfolio.

Their collaboration will also encompass threat detection and response, identity management, intelligence and data management services.

The Spanish operator will also be using 'Microsoft Copilot for Security', an assistant that helps security teams protect their businesses against threats.

This announcement comes after Microsoft announced last February its intention to set up an innovation centre dedicated to responsible AI in Spain, in cooperation with Telefonica Tech among others.

The agreement was made official today at the RSA conference in San Francisco.
