thyssenkrupp: reduces losses in Q2
(CercleFinance.com) - thyssenkrupp has reported Q2 sales of E9.
06bn (Jan-Mar 2024), down 10% y-o-y. NB: cp -4.7%.
Adjusted EBIT came to E184m, down 10%, for a net attributable loss of E78m, about a third of what it reported for Q2 2023 (E223m).
EPS came to E0.13, compared with E0.36 a year earlier.
In a market environment that remains difficult, dogged by geopolitical and trade conflicts, thyssenkrupp believes that macroeconomic developments during the financial year will be 'difficult overall'. thyssenkrupp continues to target high triple-digit adjusted EBIT in 2024. As a reminder, in 2023 adjusted EBIT was E703m.
