Maurel & Prom: specific license for Venezuela

(CercleFinance.com) - Maurel & Prom announces that it has received, from the OFAC of the US Treasury Department, a specific license for its consolidated 40% interest in the mixed company Petroregional del Lago (PRDL), which operates the Urdaneta Oeste field in Venezuela.


This specific license enables US entities and banks to collaborate with M&P on its activities in Venezuela, and consequently it will be able to continue to operate in accordance with the agreements signed with Petróleos de Venezuela on 7 November 2023.

This is excellent news for M&P, which gives us clear visibility for the future, company management said. The current expiry date of the specific license is 31 May 2026; the group expects it to be renewed.
