InterContinental: quarterly RevPAR up over 2%

(CercleFinance.com) - During its trading update, InterContinental Hotels announces worldwide RevPAR (revenue per available room) growth of 2.
6% y-o-y for Q1 2024, driven by an 8.9% jump in the EMEAA region.

Global occupancy rose to 62% and the average daily rate increased by a further 2%, with prices remaining robust, reflecting the full return of leisure, business and group travel, it said.

The company opened more than 6,200 rooms in 46 hotels over the quarter, and signed for nearly 18,000 rooms in 129 properties, increasing its pipeline by 6.6% y-o-y, management adds.
