Blackstone: EU approves acquisition of Invenergy Renewables

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of Invenergy Renewables, a US company, by the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a Canadian company, Blackstone and Invenergy IRH, both US companies.


The transaction mainly concerns the renewable energies sector.

The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not present on the same or vertically related markets.
