Pizzorno: contract with Lacs et Gorges du Verdon

(CercleFinance.com) - Pizzorno Environnement has announced that it has won the 10-year, ?37 million contract for the Délégation de Service Public (public service delegation) for the prevention and management of household waste for the Communauté de Communes Lacs et Gorges du Verdon.


For the first time in the southern PACA region, a local authority has outsourced the overall management of its waste to a service provider, covering collection, transport, recovery, treatment, waste collection centers and waste prevention.

Pizzorno will start work on this new contract on July 1, for which a dedicated company, Verdon Environnement, will be created. A 100% subsidiary of the group, it will have exclusive responsibility for public waste management services for the 16 communes in the area.
