Colas: wins E80m contract in Finland

(CercleFinance.com) - Destia, the Finnish subsidiary of Colas, has won the contract for zone 3 of the urban railroad line in Espoo, Finland's second largest city, from the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency.
The contract is worth a total of E80m.

Destia is responsible for building 4.5 kilometres of new double track and three bridges, rehabilitating four others, demolishing an engineering structure and renovating two stations (Koivuhovi and Tuomarila).

These tracks will enable commuter trains and long-distance trains to run separately, improving the frequency, regularity and accessibility of rail services.

The Espoo project demonstrates Destia's global expertise, from earthworks to track installation and engineering structures, while helping to promote the development of sustainable modes of travel, Colas said.
