Tele2: boosted after iliad's Freya takes stake
(CercleFinance.com) - Tele2 is up 9% on the OMX this morning, boosted by the announcement that Freya, the investment vehicle of iliad and NJJ Holding, has acquired around 19.
8% of its share capital from Kinnevik for around 13bn SEK (around E1.16bn).
The transaction has been divided into three tranches, the last of which is expected to be completed by Q3 2024. Once approved by the authorities, Freya will become the reference shareholder of this operator present in Sweden and the Baltic States.
This acquisition offers iliad an opportunity to accompany Tele2 in its growth and to work closely together on innovation, convergence and investment in next-generation networks.
