Tronics: return to profitability in the first half of the year
(CercleFinance.com) - Tronic's Microsystems announced on Friday evening that it had returned to profit in the first half of its 2023-2024 financial year, i.
e. between April 1 and September 30.
The sensor manufacturer's sales totaled 6.85 million euros, up 8% on the same period in 2022-2023, driven by growth in its manufacturing activities.
Consolidated operating income from continuing operations came to 0.64 million euros, compared with +0.47 million a year earlier, as improved operating performance more than offset the negative impact of price rises on raw materials and energy.
The TDK subsidiary posted a net profit of 2.17 million euros, compared with a loss of 3.1 million euros in the corresponding period of the previous year.
For the second half of 2023-2024, Tronics says it anticipates a decline in sales compared with the first half of 2023-2024, but expects its business to grow at an annual rate compared with the 2022-2023 financial year, despite the instability of the global economy in a context of monetary tightening.
Tronics says it plans to launch new products, which should boost sales of MEMS products, particularly for high-value-added industrial applications.
