BAE Systems: receives $35 million in funding in the USA
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that it has received $35 million in funding from the U.
S. Department of Commerce a for the modernization of its Microelectronics Center (MEC) in Nashua, New Hampshire.
This is the first funding announcement under the 'CHIPS and Science Act', designed to strengthen U.S. manufacturing, supply chains and national security.
"The modernization of BAE Systems' microelectronics center will help support this vision, as well as the continued development and manufacture of cutting-edge technologies in support of customer missions," the company notes.
' This funding will help modernize our microelectronics center and strengthen the country's land-based supply chain. This initiative is the result of a strong partnership with federal, state and local governments', commented Tom Arseneault, President and CEO of BAE Systems.
