Airbus: A400M firefighting kit further improved
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announced on Tuesday that it has further improved its special kit for transforming the A400M military transport aircraft into a water bomber.
The aircraft manufacturer said it had completed a new two-week test campaign in Spain, during which it dropped red retardant and water six times. According to the group, this new version of the fire-fighting kit can dump up to 20,000 liters of water at a time, with a loading time of ten minutes, representing an improvement of over 30% on last year's performance.
