Airbus: signs contract with ESA for TRUTHS mission

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has signed a contract for the final phase of the European Space Agency's (ESA) TRUTHS mission, as part of ESA's Earth Watch program for the study of climate change.


The contract, worth E109.3m, including options, covers detailed mission and payload definition, and focuses on payload development and risk mitigation activities.

The TRUTHS satellite's mission is to measure the radiation and sunlight reflected by the Earth's surface against a precise reference, in order to improve climatological data and calibrate the observations of other satellites.
