Telenor: memorandum of understanding with Ericsson on AI

(CercleFinance.com) - Ericsson announces that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Telenor for a three-year partnership to explore, develop and test artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions with the aim of improving the energy efficiency of mobile networks, without compromising connectivity quality.


According to Ericsson, the agreement underlines the two companies' shared commitment to harnessing the potential of AI and ML responsibly to 'unlock the potential for the customer'.

' Together with Telenor, we aim to gain new insights into AI/ML to improve network operations and energy efficiency management for both parties. We also hope to benefit from real-time collaboration, as we will act as soon as possible on feasible innovations for the benefit of our customers', sums up Rita Mokbel, Head of Telenor Global Customer Unit at Ericsson.
