ASML: Christophe Fouquet promosted to top spot
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch chipmaker equipment supplier ASML announced on Thursday that it has appointed Christophe Fouquet, its current Director of Commercial Affairs, as its next President and CEO.
The 50-year-old Frenchman will take up his new post after the next AGM, scheduled for 24 April 2024, replacing Peter Wennink, who will leave the Group on the same date. As Chief Business Officer, Christophe Fouquet was already a member of the Veldhoven-based group's Management Board. Headhunted from the US group KLA-Tencor 15 years ago - he has held a number of positions within ASML's technology, product and customer divisions. He will now head a workforce of some 42,500.
