Nestlé: launch of 'N3' milk in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé today announced the development of so-called "N3" milk: made from cow's milk, it contains all the essential nutrients found in milk, such as proteins, vitamins and minerals.
It also contains prebiotic fibre, is low in lactose and has over 15% fewer calories, Nestlé says.
To develop N3 milk, Nestlé has used an exclusive technology to reduce lactose - a sugar present in cow's milk - using specialised enzymes to generate beneficial prebiotic fibres.
The milk has been introduced in a new range of milk powders in China under the N3 brand. This includes a full cream and a skimmed milk product, both rich in protein to support a balanced diet for the whole family.
