Novavax: WHO EUL for Nuvaxovid XBB.1.5

(CercleFinance.com) - Novavax announces that its vaccine Nuvaxovid XBB.
1.5 vaccine has been granted Emergency Use List (EUL) status by the World Health Organization (WHO) for active vaccination to prevent Covid-19 in people aged 12 and over.

The EUL helps the 194 WHO member states to evaluate vaccines with a view to accelerating their availability, and enables them to speed up regulatory approvals for vaccine importation and administration.

The company points out that this decision was based on non-clinical data showing that its Covid-19 vaccine induced functional immune responses against the XBB.1.5, XBB.1.16 and XBB.2.3 variants.
