Arkema: Q3 net income from recurring operations down 32%

9% decline in Q3 2023 net income from recurring operations at E177m, i.e. E2.38 per share, with a 22% drop in EBITDA to E386m, representing an almost stable margin (-0.1 point) at 16.6%. The chemical group's sales fell by 21.7% to almost E2.33bn, including a 17.2% drop at constant exchange rates, due to a 6.6% decline in volumes and a -10.6% price effect, reflecting the current economic environment. As indicated last September, Arkema confirms its EBITDA forecast of around E1.5bn in 2023, in particular supported by the resilience of several product lines and ongoing cost-saving initiatives.
