Apollo: EU approves acquisition of PetSmart

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU merger regulations the European Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of PetSmart by Apollo Management, both from US, and BC Partners (UK).


The transaction mainly concerns the pet food and pet services sector.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not give rise to competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
