TUI: forecasts confirmed after a successful summer
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday, TUI, Europe's leading tourism company, confirmed its target of "significant" growth in operating profit from ordinary activities (Ebit) in its current 2022/2023 financial year.
In a press release, the German group explains that the strong bookings recorded over the summer have been confirmed, with a continued favourable momentum in the run-up to the winter season, accompanied by strong fare levels.
Summer booking volumes rose by 5%, to almost 96% of pre-epidemic levels, while bookings for winter 2023/2024 are currently up 15%.
At 1.5 million units, these exceed TUI's current winter capacity.
At the same time, the average selling price (ASP) has risen by 4% compared to winter 2022/23.
