CGG: strengthens nodal solutions portfolio
(CercleFinance.com) - CGG announces that its subsidiary Sercel now has a complete portfolio of nodal solutions at depths of up to 6,000 metres to meet the growing demand for OBN (Ocean Bottom Node) seismic surveys.
Building on the success of the GPR300 launched in 2021, the GPR700 was unveiled on Tuesday in Houston at the IMAGE 2023 conference. The GPR700 extends OBN operations to the edge of the continental shelf and to depths of up to 700 metres. Sercel also announces the GPR3000 for high-density OBN surveys to depths of 3,000 metres, as well as its MicrOBS nodal solution, suitable for sparse deepwater OBN operations down to 6,000 metres.
