H&R Block: dividend raised on annual results
(CercleFinance.com) - On unveiling its annual results on Tuesday evening, H&R Block announced a 10% increase in its quarterly dividend to $0.
32 per share, its seventh increase in seven years. It is payable on 4 October to shareholders on record on 7 September.
The US tax services firm posted adjusted EPS from continuing operations that rose 8.8% to $3.82 for 2022-23, as well as non-GAAP EBITDA of $915m (vs. $890m the previous year).
At $3.47bn, revenues were flat (+0.3%), as a decline in Emerald Card revenues was offset by higher revenues from assisted tax preparation in the US.
For FY 2023-24, H&R Block anticipates adjusted EPS of $4.10 to $4.30, EBITDA of $930m to $965m, and revenues of $3.53bn to $3.585bn.
