Prada: EU authorises joint acquisition of Fedeli

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission announces that it has authorised the acquisition of joint control of Luigi Fedeli e Figlio ("Fedeli") by Prada and Ermenegildo Zegna ("Zegna").


Fedeli is active in the high-end textile industry, specialising in the production of cashmere and jersey fabrics.

Zegna is active in the design, creation and distribution of luxury clothing for women, men and accessories, as well as in the manufacture and distribution of fabrics and textiles.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns, given that the acquired company has negligible activities in the European Economic Area.
