BNY-Mellon: Q2 EPS up 26%

(CercleFinance.com) - BNY-Mellon has reported Q2 2023 net income that is up 23% to $1.
03bn, or $1.30 per share (+26%), on revenues that rose 5% to $4.5bn, thanks to a one-third jump in net interest income.

In detail, the financial institution boasts revenue growth in both its securities services (+12%) and market and wealth services (+10%) segments, which more than offset a 10% contraction in the investment and wealth management segment.

Following the Federal Reserve's bank stress tests last month, the bank raised its ordinary dividend by 14% from this quarter, although leaves its overall approach unchanged, management added.
