Triton: EU clears acquisition by Brookfield Corp

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission announces that it has cleared the acquisition of Triton International Limited ("Triton") - a Bermuda-based company - by Canada's Brookfield Corporation ("Brookfield").


Triton is a company active in the acquisition, leasing, relocation and subsequent sale of intermodal containers and container chassis for maritime transport.

Brookfield is a global owner and operator of real estate assets across all sectors, including renewable energy and transition, infrastructure, private equity, real estate, credit and insurance solutions.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not give rise to any competition concerns, given the absence of overlaps between the companies' activities.
