Northrop Grumman: contract with Airbus for SDA
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus US Space & Defense has announced that it has been selected by Northrop Grumman for the Transport Layer (T1TL) prototype constellation for the US Space Development Agency (SDA).
The aircraft manufacturer will provide 42 satellite platforms as well as assembly, integration and test (AIT), launch and commissioning support services. This Transport Layer will be the backbone of the SDA's national defence space architecture, providing secure, resilient and low-latency military data and connectivity worldwide for a full range of defence applications.
