Volkswagen: agreement with Bosch in automated driving
(CercleFinance.com) - German automotive supplier Bosch announced on Tuesday the signing of a "tight" partnership with Cariad, the automotive software subsidiary of the Volkswagen group.
Under the terms of this collaboration, over 1,000 employees from both groups will work together on engineering projects in the field of automated driving. The partnership will focus on "corner cases", rare road accidents that are often difficult for digital systems to detect. The first functionalities resulting from the agreement should be installed in vehicles from 2023. VW shares are currently up 0.7%, while Bosch shares are up over 1%.
