Alphabet: carbon-free energy supply agreement with Engie

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Engie announced that it has signed a three-year agreement with Google in Germany to supply carbon-free energy to the US Internet giant.


Under the agreement, Engie will develop and negotiate an energy portfolio with the aim of supplying Google with renewable electricity from solar and wind technologies.

In all, Engie will supply Google with 140 MW of renewable electricity, in addition to other services, including grid management.

This contract comes after Google signed similar renewable energy supply contracts in Belgium and the Netherlands.
