Altice Europe: SFR unveils Transformation and ambitions 2025

(CercleFinance.com) - Altice France-SFR has presented "Transformation and ambitions 2025", a "strategic project" which aims to consolidate SFR's position as France's 2nd largest operator "by accelerating its deployments".


Pointing to the growth and trends in uses - which have been amplified by lockdowns - Altice France -SFR stresses the need to invest in order to be able to absorb the traffic that is constantly increasing each year (+35% for SFR in 2020) and to adapt to recurrent technological developments, such as Fiber and 5G.

In this situation, the 2025 network plan calls for more than 90% of French households to be connected to fiber infrastructure and 98% of cities that have over 10,000 inhabitants to be connected to 5G 3.5.
