Uber: interested in taking over Free Now

(CercleFinance.com) - Uber is reportedly interested in buying Free Now, the joint venture between Daimler and BMW says Bloomberg.


This company owns Kapten in France.

This agreement would enable Uber to increase its market share in Europe and Latin America.

Any agreement could be complicated by the challenges faced by carpooling companies, which could make it more difficult to agree on a price, said one of the people interviewed by the press agency.

Bloomberg says there is no certainty that negotiations will result in a deal.

Representatives of Uber and BMW declined to comment, and a Daimler spokesperson said the company was not commenting on speculation, Bloomberg said.
