Pfizer: acquires Array BioPharma

(CercleFinance.com) - Pfizer announces an agreement to acquire Array BioPharma, a biopharmaceutical company at the commercial stage specialising in drugs to treat cancer and other diseases with significant unmet requirements.


The healthcare giant will pay 48 dollars per share, representing a total enterprise value of approximately 11.4 billion dollars. The transaction is expected to have a dilutive effect on its EPS in both 2019 and 2020, and will then be EPS-neutral in 2021, before having a positive impact from 2022.

The transaction will be mainly financed by debt and, to a lesser extent, by existing cash. Subject to usual conditions, including the green light from regulatory authorities, the deal is expected to be finalised in the second half of 2019.
