J&J: deal with Microsoft on digital surgery
(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies (JJMDC) today announced its collaboration with Microsoft to enable and expand its secure digital surgery ecosystem.
The Microsoft cloud is expected to help JJMDC drive innovation, improve workflow and enhance surgical decision making for a better customer experience and improved patient and economic outcomes.
JJMDC's medical technology includes next-generation robotics and world-class instrumentation, advanced imaging and visualisation, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital solutions.
No big deal it seems, however. J&J shares are down about 0.7%, while Microsoft is faring worse - down 1.8% in early trading on Wall Street.
