USA: composite PMI confirmed at 50.7 in November

(CercleFinance.com) - Activity in the US private sector grew slightly in November, according to S&P Global, whose composite PMI index finally came in at 50.
7, in line with its flash estimate and its October level.

For the record, it is the 50 threshold that separates expansion and contraction in a sector's activity for PMI indices: the higher the index is above this threshold, the faster the pace of expansion.

The expansion reflects growth among both manufacturers and service providers, albeit only slight," points out S&P Global, which highlights a return to new business growth in services and an easing of cost pressures.
