Costco: 29% EPS growth in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Costco Wholesale reported net earnings of $1.
68 billion for its third fiscal quarter (ended May 12), or $3.78, an increase of 29% year-on-year.
The warehouse-store chain points out, however, that its EPS a year ago included a non-recurring charge of $0.50 before tax, mainly for the discontinuation of its ship-chartering business.
Net sales for the quarter rose by 9.1% to $57.4 billion, including growth of 6.6% on a like-for-like basis (and 6.5% excluding the impact of variations in gasoline prices and currencies).
