Costco: 7% sales growth in April

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening, Costco Wholesale reported sales of $19.
8bn for April (four weeks ended 5 May), up 7.1% y-o-y.

LFL and excluding the impact of variations in gasoline prices and exchange rates, sales rose by 5.5%, with 5.2% growth in the US, 5.9% in Canada and 7% in other countries.

The warehouse-store chain points out, however, that April 2024 was negatively affected, by just over 0.5% on total and comparable sales, by the Easter calendar change.
