Amazon: to open fifth logistics center in Florida

(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon said on Thursday it planned to open a fifth distribution center in Florida, creating more than 500 full-time jobs at the facility.


Employees at the Deltona-based fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship large customer items, such as sports equipment, patio furniture, fishing rods, pet food, kayaks, bicycles, and household goods.

Amazon said it has created more than 13,500 full-time jobs in Florida since 2013. It currently operates facilities in Orlando, Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
