Amazon: Cyber Monday sales reach new record

(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon said that Cyber Monday set a new record as the single biggest shopping day in the company's history, based on the number of items ordered worldwide.


Without providing specific numbers, the US online retail giant said that it received "hundreds of millions" of product orders between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.

The best-selling products on Cyber Monday in the US included Amazon's Echo Dot speakers, the Fire TV stick with Alexa voice remote, Play-Doh sweet shoppe cookie creations, Keurig K-Cafe coffee makers and Lego City ambulance helicopter, the Seattle-based company said in a statement.
