Equinor: plan for offshore development in Norwegian Sea

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announces that it has submitted the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy a plan for the development and exploitation (PDO) of the Verdande field in the Norwegian Sea.


Equinor says that this project's development will secure significant oil volumes for the production vessel Norne, with commissioning expected in Q4 2025.

Verdande is estimated to have a total of approximately 36.3 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent. The Verdande investment amounts to about 4.7 billion Norwegian kronor (about 450 million euros).

Drilling is scheduled to start in Q4 2024, with production due to start twelve months later.
