ArcelorMittal: signs two solar energy contracts in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal Brazil announces that it has signed contracts to develop two solar energy projects with a total capacity of 465 MW, representing 14% of its electricity needs.
The first project, in partnership with Casa dos Ventos, includes a 200 MW solar power plant in the state of Bahia.
The second, in collaboration with Atlas Renewable Energy, concerns a 265 MW solar power plant in the state of Minas Gerais.
Both projects, which are subject to approval by the authorities, aim to secure renewable energy supplies and support the company's decarbonization strategy.
