Aperam: Q3 earnings beat consensus

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday the steelmaker Aperam reported higher-than-expected Q3 EBITDA, although warned that its profit would fall in Q4.


This morning the stainless steel and special steels producer reported Ebitda of 235 million euros for July to September, below the 278 million euros announced a year ago.

This figure nevertheless exceeds the consensus of 206 million euros, which the company provided.

Q3 sales fell 26% to 1.82 billion euros due to destocking by its European customers.

Aperam says it expects Q4 Ebitda to be down sequentially.

Following this publication, the share is currently up almost 1% in Paris, after having fallen by up to 1.8% at the start of trading.
