Vodafone: to appoint new board chairman in November
(CercleFinance.com) - Vodafone announces that Jean-François Van Boxmeer will be proposed for appointment as non-executive director at the general meeting of 28 July, with a view to his election as chairman of the board of directors.
He is then set to succeed Gerard Kleisterlee as board chairman on 3 November, when he will leave the board of directors, which he will have chaired for nine years.
The telecoms operator points out that Jean-François Van Boxmeer is currently CEO of Heineken, the world's second largest brewer, a position he has held since 2005 and which he is due to leave to his successor in June.
