Vodafone: 5G network deal with Nokia in New Zealand

(CercleFinance.com) - The telecom equipment supplier Nokia has said that it will supply and integrate the first commercial 5G network in New Zealand for telecom operator Vodafone, to be launched in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown, towards the end of this year.


The contract includes the AirScale radio access network. "Nokia's 5G portfolio offers operators the necessary flexibility and capabilities to deliver 5G services to both consumers and enterprises," the Finnish group said.
