AstraZeneca: 3 billion dollar bond to refinance debt
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca is making a four tranche global bond offering totalling 3 billion dollars for the refinancing of its existing debt, the drugmaker said on Wednesday.
The transaction consists of an 850 million dollar tranche of fixed rate notes with a coupon of 3.5% maturing in 2023; 400 million dollars of floating rate notes with a coupon of 3 month LIBOR plus 0.665%, maturing in 2023; 1 billion dollars of fixed rate notes with a coupon of 4%, maturing in 2029 and 750 million dollars of fixed rate notes with a coupon of 4.375%, maturing in 2048, the company said.
Shares of AstraZeneca were broadly flat this morning on the London Stock Exchange.
