BAE Systems: contract of almost $120m with US Navy
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems today announced that it has received a 119.
2 million dollar contract from the US Navy to perform major upgrades on the Arleigh Burke-class missile destroyer, USS Lassen (DDG 82).
The contract could be worth up to 137.9 million dollars if all options are exercised, BAE Systems says.
In addition to the hull preservation work, the company's Florida shipyard will refurbish the ship's engineering spaces, upgrade its command and control equipment and renovate the crew living spaces.
The company expects work on the DMP to begin in January 2023 and be completed in April 2024.
