Societe Generale: capital requirement notified by ECB

(CercleFinance.com) - Societe Generale has been notified by the European Central Bank of its Pillar 2 capital requirement (P2R - mandatory Pillar 2) as of 1 January 2024 of 2.
42%, of which at least 1.44% in the form of CET1.

Taking into account the various regulatory cushions, the minimum requirements applicable to the banking group on a consolidated basis will be 10.22% for the CET1 ratio, 12.14% for the Tier 1 ratio and 14.71% for the Total Capital ratio.

With a CET1 ratio of 13.3% at 30 September 2023, Societe Generale benefits from a comfortable pro-forma leeway of over 300 basis points. Similarly, its leverage ratio stood at 4.17%, well above the 3.6% requirement.
