Casino: now controls 22.5% of Grupo Pão de Açucar

(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe Casino announced today the completion of the primary offering of shares in Grupo Pão de Açucar ('GPA') with 220,000,000 new shares issued at R$3.
2 per share, representing a total capital increase of R$704 million.

Following the transaction, Groupe Casino will hold a 22.5% stake in GPA and will therefore no longer control the company.

Groupe Casino will retain 2 members on GPA's Board of Directors, as previously indicated to the market.
