Imerys: in talks to sell assets to Syntagma

(CercleFinance.com) - Imerys announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Syntagma Capital for the divestment of most of its assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate and talc, which mainly serve the paper markets.


These activities, which employ approximately 950 employees and generated 400 million euros in sales in 2021, will be sold for an enterprise value of 390 million euros, including an earn-out based on the future performance of the divested assets.

The transaction, which is expected to close in the course of 2023, is subject to customary closing conditions, including information and consultation procedures with employee representative bodies, and other regulatory approvals.
