Danone: approval for sale of EDP Russia

(CercleFinance.com) - Danone announced on Friday evening that it has obtained the necessary Russian regulatory approvals for the sale of its EDP activities in Russia to Vamin R LLC, with the sale's expected to be completed in the next few weeks.


The French food group initiated the process of transferring these activities in October 2022 and, noting that it no longer held management control, deconsolidated them in July 2023. It has booked a total loss of E1.2bn in its accounts.
