Danone: pioneering environmental steps for bottled water
(CercleFinance.com) - Danone announces the launch by its collective of water brands (including Evian, Volvic, AQUA and Bonafont) of "WeActForWater", a series of measures to tackle the global challenges of responsible packaging, climate, preservation of aquifers and access to water.
Objectives include a halving of the use of virgin plastic for water brands, which, in 2025, will use 50% of recycled PET (rPET) worldwide and 100% in Europe.
The collective also aims, amongst other things, to accelerate the trajectory towards carbon neutrality in Europe by 2025, and B Corp certification worldwide for all water brands by 2022.
