Total: makes acquisition in plastic recycling

(CercleFinance.com) - Total group today announces the acquisition of Synova, a French company specialising in the production of high-performance recycled polypropylene for the automotive sector.


This company produces 20,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year.
"By contributing to the lighter weight of vehicles, plastics improve their energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, and producing them from recycled materials also meets the challenge of end-of-life management.

"The acquisition of Synova is a concrete proof of our commitment to developing plastic recycling," said Bernard Pinatel, President Refining & Chemicals at Total.
