Carrefour: food aid for Lebanon
(CercleFinance.com) - Following the tragedy that stuck Beirut last week, Carrefour has announced that, through its Foundation and with the help of a military plane, it is sending about forty tonnes of non-perishable foodstuff (flour, pasta, rice, tinned food, etc.
), i.e. the equivalent of 52 pallets.
This aid will be received by Majid Al Futtaim, the French group's longstanding partner in the country, which will distribute it via local NGOs. Majid Al Futtaim operates five stores under the Carrefour and Carrefour Market banners in Lebanon.
